It is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve the contract with Ace Asphalt to crack seal, seal coat, and re-stripping the Coolidge Transit Facility parking lot in an amount not to exceed $10,895.00.

The Coolidge Transit Building was built in 2008 with ARRA funds through the US Department of Transportation.  The City is obligated under our grant assurances to provide monitoring and maintenance of the parking surfaces at the facility.  Sufficient time has passed for the surface to be seal coated in an effort to extend the life of the asphalt surface.  The project is budgeted in this years 2017/18 Transit capital improvements budget.  .

We had two response's to our bid solicitation.  Ace Asphalt responded to a bid solicitation and was the most competitive respondent. The work is planned for September 5, 8, and 9, 2018.

This project will be funded trough ADOT grants funds or matching funds.
