Approve the Agreement with Smartschoolsplus, Inc. to continue the Smartworks Phased Retirement Program for the City of Coolidge.

Currently, the City contracts with Smartworksplus for the purpose of providing a phased retirement program service to city employees who retire from the City in good standings.  The current contract will expire on June 30, 2018, and, therefore, staff is recommending the option to renew the agreement.

The terms for the program will begin on July 1, 2018 and end on June 30, 2019.  At this time, we do not currently have any employee participating in the program, but, have had some employees express interest in the program.  If approved, the program will allow a retired employee to participate in the program for a duration of up to one year.

There is a potential 20-25% savings to the City for any employee who participates in the program.
