RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve the Amendment to Article V, Section 1003(A)(3) and (A)(4) of the Zoning Code, allowing an Accessory Structure to exceed the Height of the Main Dwelling in Agricultural Zoning (AG).    

 

DISCUSSION

The current zoning code was adopted by the City Council in 2009.  This Ordinance would allow an accessory building or structure, to exceed the height of the Main Dwelling in the Agricultural Zoning District.  The minimum lot size in (AG) is one acre, and an accessory structure is limited to 25% lot coverage under roof area.   

 

The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their April 4, 2018 meeting, recommended approval of the proposed change to the code.
